“Didn’t watch it live. I had better things to do, but when I watched the condensed game holy fuck what a loss. Not only was it a waste of a 3 hit JHL game, it was a waste of a multi high level defensive play JHL game. Holy fuck. I know that loss against Arizona a few weeks ago was bad, but this was objectively worse. Up 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th and we give up a 3 run bomb and then a 2 run bomb walk off by Tovar all in the same inning. Disgusting. There’s only two Giants games I can think of that symbolized this team hitting a brick wall more than this one and both were post season games. Game 4 of the NLDS against the Cubs in 2016 and Game 5 of the 2021 NLDS against the Dodgers. After both of those games I knew dramatic change was needed. They were both post season games though. I can’t think of a singular regular season game the Giants played in the last 15 years that made me feel like this. Holy shit what a loss. ”
