“That wasn’t good, but it could’ve been a hell of a lot worse. This felt like an audition for Devin Cooley for the backup role and he was floundering in that 1st period. But after that, Cooley showed something, specifically resilience and tenacity. Meanwhile Comrie proved why he deserves the backup role in Winnipeg, he was great. But to remain positive for the Flames, I’m loving Parekh, dude looks great both shooting and passing the puck. Kerins better make the opening night roster, he continues to be a pest and threat to all teams playing against him. Zary had a nice night as well and that Gridin goal was sweeeeeeet. There was a weird moment with Pachal and Scheifele, but after that, both teams decided they wanted to go home.”
