“I’m feeling mighty spiteful tonight and luckily the Ducks serve as a perfect victim thanks to their dinosaur of a coach (iykyk). More importantly, Flames played great for 2 periods; no spite needed for that belief. They didn’t get as many chances as Anaheim did, but they converted the best chances they got while Devin Cooley shut down Anaheim’s best chances. Gridin, Farabee and Frost were eating (and enjoying) some fine roasted duck with how they were playing. The counter attack was killing Anaheim’s talented but irresponsible D-core. Ryan Strome even got a measure of revenge on the city that was so happy to see him go for just a 7th. The Flames have really experimented with their D-core to mixed results because we’re obviously a bad team. Still, it’s very nice to see Parekh, Brzustewicz and Kuznetsov get plenty of ice time. Anaheim made a strong push on the 3rd period where even the commentators were whining about supposed missed calls. The Ducks just couldn’t break cool-ass Cooley.”
