Okay game, more importantly, this game is a middle finger to my Chicago-Washington rating (in a good way, I swear). It’s amazing that this hasn’t happened sooner. Okay, if any of you read my last Blackhawks rating for when Bedard made his return, I talked about how he couldn’t get any points in his first game back despite his best efforts. But I also mentioned how Tyler Bertuzzi was likely even more angry at Logan Thompson and the Captials because he got robbed so many times. Well, tonight, he very much didn’t get robbed. Not only did he score the game winner, but he also made the vital defensive play that helped get the empty netter. Bedard even got 2 assist for good measure on my review. Even then, that is somehow not the story I am walking away with. I also commented on how Commesso was fed to the wolves and suffered because of it. Well, he followed that up with a 36 save shutout which is the very first of his career. Hockey is the land of the unexpected. 5 for Tyler, 3 for Commesso
