Don’t let this game fool you into thinking the Rangers finally figured out how to score runs, half of their runs were thanks to two separate wild pitches. This win is a credit to Jacob Degrom. In his final start, although it wasn’t a long one, he puts in 5 innings of dominant pitching. It set the tone for the game and luckily, the bullpen was able to hang on to the slim lead long enough for bad Twins pitching to make it too big to overcome. Special shoutout to Phil Maton, great acquisition.
