“No hitters are awesome. You want to know what's even more awesome? A no hitter in a rivalry game. And that's what the Astros did today. Tatsuya Imai has had his struggles since coming in from Japan but he was on it today with 6 no-hit innings, and then Steven Okert and Alimber Santa finish it off. A couple weeks ago, Spencer Arighetti came oh-so-close, but in the end, the Houston Astros have the first no-hitter of 2026. Edit: Another thing that made this so much more special- Alimber Santa, who threw the final 2 innings, was pitching in his MLB DEBUT. Yes his MLB debut was finishing off a no-hitter. MLB debuts are always a moment you will remember forever, but this just makes it so much better. Absolutely incredible.”
