Tarik Skubal got two quick outs in the 1st before Tyler O’Neill hit a solo homer. In the 2nd, the Tigers scored 2 runs off of Nick Pivetta. Spencer Torkelson singled, followed by a Zach McKinstry double. Then Trey Sweeney hit a 2 RBI double. Tarik Skubal recorded his 200th strikeout of the season against O’Neill in the bottom of the 6th inning. Tyler Holton closed out the game for Detroit. Skubal’s final line: 8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K. Pivetta’s final line: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K.
