“I’ve said before and I will say it again, I am a sucker for a good redemption story. This story is still being written, but if Darcy Kuemper can turn it around after a rough start, this game will definitely be a chapter. This game started out really slow and gradually picked up in pace until it eventually became a scramble as the Fiala goal clearly triggered some urgency in Winnipeg. At least as much urgency as there can be in game #13 of 82. All that ended when the Kings sealed it with an empty netter. It’s not like Hellebuyck played poorly; he showed he’s a consensus top 2 goalie for a reason. All it took was one mistake to leave Armia alone for a slick pass to Kempe. Overall, not a bad game, just nothing special. ”
