“The Eagles clinch a playoff spot and the division in a game so unsurprising, even Marcus Mariota couldn’t add some spice to it. I use the word ‘unsurprising’ rather than ‘uninteresting’ very deliberately. The Eagles won comfortably with a big assist from their ground game as Saquon ran all over Washington for 132 yards and a TD. Then Tank Bigsby came in and ran for his own 20-yard touchdown. Jalen Hurts was fine, his stats look great and are deserved, even though an interception got taken away because of a penalty. This wasn’t a pure blowout as most of the Eagles’ points came in the 4th, but I never felt like the Commanders had control, even when Mariota was playing. Commanders just couldn’t get anything consistent going on offense. It was either 3 and outs or a big play to keep a drive alive. Bobby Wagner continues to get closer to the top of the all-time tackles list, but other than that and a Josh Johnson cameo, really struggling to write down memorable moments, even with my notes.”
