@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Capitals vs Kraken

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Capitals vs Kraken game 2.6 out of 10 in NHL on January 28, 2026. Final score: Capitals 1 – Kraken 5. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This was highly unexpected, at least for me. The Kraken not only beat the Capitals, they completely outplayed them. The Kraken did a great job keeping Washington off-balance. It generated chances, prevented Washington from getting their own and put Seattle up comfortably. Gruabauer probably would’ve gotten a shutout if not for the biggest buzzkill I’ve seen in a long time. Jared McCann scored the 2nd hat trick of his career and it was only after the horn went off and fans threw hat, that the refs called a high sticking and took away the goal. It was the right call, but man; what a crappy way to shift momentum. Only good thing about it was that it gave us Goal 919 for Ovi. Wet blankets aside, the 3rd was a test of Seattle’s penalty kill and I think they passed. I say that because Tom Wilson gave them an own-goal shortly after killing their penalties. Carbery just had to kill the vibes one last time by challenging Seattle’s 6th goal for goaltender interference. I don’t care he was right.
