The Stars complete the comeback against a scrappy Predators squad. Idk what switch the Predators have flipped. Maybe they just really didn’t like Barry Trotz and him retiring gave them a jolt or Stamkos’s revival is inspiring the rest of the team, regardless of what it is, they’ve looked so much better in 2026 than they did in 2025. Unfortunately, they could not maintain that for 60 minutes and Dallas made them regret it. After a 1st period where the Predators pounced all over the Stars, it was 2-0 in favour of Nashville thanks to Bunting and Stamkos. Stamkos’s goal also clinched his 10th 30-goal season, making him just the 29th player ever to have 10 30-goal seasons in the NHL. Stamkos wouldn’t get a win to go alongside that milestone as Wyatt Johnston kicked off the comeback, Bastian eventually completed it and Jason Robertson put a bow on top with the overtime win. Miro Heiskanen was absolutely brilliant, especially that pass to should-be gold medalist Jason Robertson in OT.
