“Ireland’s magic ran out and Czechia stole their pixie dust. This game had a crazy beginning. The Irish were all over the Czechs, despite having less possession, they had way more chances and had them on their heels throughout the first half. Czechia was resorting to fouls to slow them down and it eventually bit them in the ass as Ireland won a penalty. Parrott made his legacy even stronger as he put it home and then got a fortunate bounce off a corner as the Czechs hit it into their own goal. It looked like Ireland’s dream was going to thrive in Prague. Don’t count out the Czechs, just like in hockey, they’re scrappy. They got their own penalty and made it 2-1 before the end of the 1st half. The Czechs kept pushing, desperate to find an equalizer. With about 5 minutes to go in 90 minutes, the captain, Krejcí headed it home and tied this game, saving Czechia. After some tense extra time, we got penalties. Right when they looked dead in those penalties, they found a way and won a classic”
