This game was EXTREMELY TENSE. I was pacing around my room and felt chills up and down my spine. Every pitch felt like it could change the game dramatically and the score reflected that. This game 7 lived up to the hype. 4 years after signing with Toronto, any thoughts of Springer’s contract not being worth it were squashed tonight as Springer hit the biggest Blue Jays homer of the 21st century. That homer caused the biggest momentum shift of these playoffs as the Toronto was rocking and the Jays lineup was getting hits on Munoz, though a slick Naylor double play prevented them from adding to it. The Jays hang on and set up a Blue vs. Blue World Series as Hoffman achieves his own slice of redemption. What a way to end the Championship Series, so glad we got game 7. My heart goes out to Mariners fans. That fan base deserves a World Series appearance at the very least. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be.
