“Easily the most anticipated series of round 1. This could’ve been a conference final matchup if not for the idiotic playoff system. On the ice, it played out exactly like we thought it would. Lots of fast passes, skill and wicked shots on display. It did not play out like we thought it would on the scoreboard. The Wild mad a strong statement and send a message to the Western Conference. This is not the same old Wild. Jesper Wallstedt, in his playoff debut, was brilliant. He stopped nearly every Dallas shot and made sure they couldn’t get any juicy rebounds from him. Luckily for him, the Wild dominated the first 2 periods and made sure he didn’t have a lot of pressure on his young shoulders. A beautiful tic tac toe goal broke the ice, but Minnesota really took over in the 2nd. Kaprizov, Boldy, Hughes and Zuccarello were all terrific central figures in the Wild’s dominant victory. Dallas tried to make a comeback in the 3rd and the Wild just shut it down. Could’ve been better. Still fun. ”

Easily the most anticipated series of round 1. This could’ve been a conference final matchup if not for the idiotic playoff system. On the ice, it played out exactly like we thought it would. Lots of fast passes, skill and wicked shots on display. It did not play out like we thought it would on the scoreboard. The Wild mad a strong statement and send a message to the Western Conference.
