This was a great resilient win for the Red Sox! Sandy Alcantara was amazing again cruising through seven innings while allowing only one run, but Ranger Suarez wasn’t that much worse! He made it through five great innings, and left with this game tied! The Marlins did put Alcantara in line for the win with a run scored right after he left, but Boston made sure he didn’t come away either the win! A wild pitch in the eighth tied this game, and a triple knocked in the go-ahead run in the ninth! The Red Sox added on one more insurance run, but that wouldn’t be necessary as Aroldis Chapman slammed the door in the ninth to give Boston their fourth straight win!

A lot of bending but no breaking from the Red Sox today. Tons of traffic, another bases loaded situation with no runs to show for it. But Ranger and Bello only give up a run each, the defense shows us how good they've been most of the year with Ranger turning a slick double play that makes me confident he'll be back to his old self in time for the postseason. Great games for the speedsters here. Duran looked good, Eli White has been an awesome baserunner, and Seagulls had a huge triple. Love seeing the late comebacks initiated by new guys every night.
