“For a while I thought we were gonna lose 1-0 and go back to the 2024 trend of sucking ass in doubleheaders but a pair of 3 run rallies keyed by some unlikely bats in Gabby Arias and CJ Kayfus saved the day. Messick was solid for 5 innings of 1-run ball but the bullpen was a bit shaky. It’ll be good to get Gaddis back and hopefully Cade Smith will work out of this funk. So far he hasn’t cost us any games but definitely a pattern of giving up runs when he has a multirun 9th inning lead. 6-4 against the Mariners, Dodgers, and Cubs is a damn fine start to the year. On to the Royals.”
