“Is they key to success.. leaving Colorado??? That's next on the 6 o'clock news! German Marquez pitched 6 shuttie today, dominating the Pirates lineup. Whether that's the magic of leaving Colorado or plainly pitching against the Pirates lineup, he certainly pitched a gem in this one. Bubba Chandler is expected to be the Pirates #2 behind Skenes for years to come, at least in a Pirates' fans dream world where Bob Nutting would spend some money, but Chandler is of course still young and developing and despite a tough game today, there's of course still a ton of hope for him. Konnor Griffin experienced the real MLB today, going 0 for 4. I think he was very overrated as a prospect, people are acting like he's the second coming of Honus Wagner over 100 years later, and while I think he'll be great, I don't think he'll be close to the GOAT shortstop debate like Wagner is.”
