@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Royals vs Boilermakers

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Royals vs Boilermakers game 4.4 out of 10 in CBB on March 20, 2026. Final score: Royals 71 – Boilermakers 104. R1. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The best moment came just 8 minutes into this game. Braden Smith, with a pass to Kaufman-Renn into an and-one layup, passed Bobby Hurley in career assists and became men’s all-time leader in assists in a moment. In honour of the achievement, my rating is a 4.4 for the 41 and 3 jersey numbers he has worn. Even if I didn’t do it that way, this would still be a low 4. Why? Understandably, they couldn’t do a whole ceremony/celebration for the achievement, but it was kind of hand-waved away. You could hand-wave this game away. Purdue just dominating a small school that is happy to be there. Braden Smith had a great game to match his history-making with 26 points and 8 assists. Kaufmann-Renn also had a great game with 25 and 9 rebounds. I will also say I appreciate Purdue not taking their foot completely off the gas. If you’re going to blowout a team, you might as well completely dominate them from beginning to end. Which is exactly what Purdue did. Hopefully they get a challenge.
