The Blues are singing the blues after this game. A game that they should’ve won slips out of their grasp. They just couldn’t stop getting in their own way. That belief is not because I’m taking away anything from Columbus. The Blue Jackets matched every shot the Blues threw at them. It started when Snuggerud opened up the scoring early in the 1st. While the goal was still being announced, Jenner took advantage of a Blues’ defensive lapse to find Lundestrom for his 2nd goal of the season. Every time the Blues gained some ground, the Jackets found a way to match it, more often than not it was because of some defensive lapse from St. Louis. Binnington continuing his horrific season certainly wasn’t helping matters. I swear to god, he better be saving all his best performances for the Olympics because we know Doug Armstrong will be pounding the table for him. On a more positive note, great resilience and a great team-win. Nobody was solely responsible like the Coyle carry-job last night.
