The first 9 innings were an action filled ride of rising anxieties that lead to either pure elation or genuine hopelessness again and again. In a game where anything seemed possible every single event still dumbfounded me whether a Tommy Edman game saving throw to third or Bargher cutting Freddie down at the plate. Nothing was impossible during this 9 inning street fight. And then there was 9 more. In what I can only see as baseball being baseball to the highest degree, a stress filled game of punch after counter punch was followed by a complete 9 inning game of its own where the bullpen became increasingly lonely until it was left unattended and abandoned. Everything was left on the field and there was nothing left a fan could ask for besides a merciful end. A game I will not only never forget but always remember. And also Ohtani was there
