“So close and yet so far. I was fully expecting a one-sided beat down where the Hurricanes would have 50 shots and the Canucks would have like 15. We got exactly that for the first 10 minutes as Carolina outshot Vancouver 13-1 while scoring a goal. Made them look like an AHL team. After that, something amazing happened, Vancouver, remembered they don’t play in Abbotsford. Rossi and Hronek found the back of the net and gave Vancouver the lead after the 1st. In the 2nd, the Canes brought us back to reality by scoring 4 unanswered goals in a 10 minute span. Once again, I thought it would continue like that. But Vancouver had another flashback to when they didn’t suck and Boeser scored like it’s 2024 before Hoglander scored in the 3rd to cut the deficit to 1 goal. The game became even, both teams went back-and-forth, yet, it was no use. They wouldn’t score and Carolina would win. May have been the worst game for Buss. Still, that’s the best the Canuck have played maybe all season.”
