@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Longhorns vs Bulldogs

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Longhorns vs Bulldogs game 8.7 out of 10 in CBB on March 21, 2026. Final score: Longhorns 74 – Bulldogs 68. R2. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

FINALLY A GENUINELY GOOD GAME. Even better, this was a GREAT GAME! I was worried they were all going to be duds. Despite the difference in seeding, this was a gritty, close matchup. Points came at a premium and the only thing guaranteed was hands in faces and bumping of bodies. Gonzaga looked like they would build up a big lead in the first half. Then Texas went 7-for-7 after Gonzaga went up 28-20 to close the gap. The game stayed close the rest of the way. Ike and Vokietaitis were having a sumo matches in the paint. Felt a bit like old-school ball and that was cool to see. You know they’re going each other when double fouls are being called. Both big guys were determined. I’d say Ike got the better part of the battle, but Vokie won the war. As the game progressed, the margin for error got thinner and thinner until both teams were basically alternating 1-3 point leads the rest of the way. The difference became Pope who hit so many clutch 3s to skewer the Bulldogs.
