“We can't lose a series to the Angels and consider ourselves a serious playoff team. Especially when we're giving a rookie pitcher his first win. To give credit where it is due, Klassen did pitch quite well. The kid got a deserved first win. On top of that feel-good moment, I was stoked to see Corey Seager look like the Corey Seager I know, along with Joc being a weirdly good leadoff hitter. Trout responded to Seager's home run by driving in his own run, and for just a second, I thought the Rangers could hang on. Grissom and Siri broke that belief, and Siri cemented it by converting on a safety squeeze. When the ump called him safe, I was convinced Seager would need to work some magic to give us a chance. He did indeed give us a chance in the 8th, just for Kelenic to strike out with runners at 2nd and 3rd. When that happened, I knew it was over. The 3 quick outs in the 9th just confirmed it. Another demoralizing loss for the Rangers. Seager and Trout having great games keep it above red”
