“Dan Vladar beats the team that drafted him. It started with a fight. Deslauriers vs. Jeannot. A great fight to boost the energy in a slow game so far. The tension never truly went away and we got our fair share of pushing and face-washing. Alongside the mutual bitterness, both goaltenders came ready to play. Morgan Geekie was seeing Darth Vladar in his nightmares when he made back-to-back crazy saves and giving every Bruins player their fair share of bad dreams. On the other end, Swayman was rock solid, not giving up a millimetre of room for the Flyers. Although Vladar was forced to make many more saves, the shot attempts were actually pretty close after 2 periods. With how good both goalies were, it would take a very unfortunate bounce to beat Swayman. Which is exactly what happened when a puck bounced off the boards, to the slot and Dvorak perfectly set up Konecny for the game’s first goal. Drysdale would get a wide open shot in the slot for goal #2 and Vladar locked up the win.”
