This game was hyped up a ton and supposed to be super good, and granted, this game itself was good, but neither team came close to living up to expectations. The difference is, with LSU, it's hard to pinpoint what went wrong. For Clemson, it was obvious. Dabo Swinney refuses to use the transfer portal. He hasn't updated to the new college football landscape. His system worked in the late 2010s but now with NIL and especially the transfer portal, he just hasn't caught up. If it's another disappointing year for Clemson this year, I honestly do think it's time for them to part ways. Dabo Swinney can't coach in modern college football anymore and the Clemson program hasn't been close to what they should be in recent years. Sure, they made a playoff appearance a couple years ago, but that was only because all Power 4 conference champions got in and they were in a terrible ACC, somehow got into the ACC championship, and won on a game winning field goal.

Before it went crashing to shit for both of these teams, they were good. Both were actual contenders at one point.

In week 1. This was the highly anticipated matchup. If these 2 teams played in the final week of the Cfb season. It would still be. It would just be that instead of the Rams vs Seahawks it would be the Raiders vs Browns. This would be really competitive. It just isn't the same hype
