The game genuinely blew up on the Jets. Which is not just an unfortunate metaphor, but it’s also just straight up true. The Jets tried to take off when a massive Sabre spawned in their way just as they left the ground, causing their wing to get clipped and the jet to crash. I have to admit, although my team is going through… a lot these days. The Sabres are a reminder that it could be much worse. Which is why there is a part of me that is genuinely happy to see them succeed. Especially when it involves someone like Josh Norris who literally got injured immediately to start the season and returned in brilliant fashion today. As for the Jets… oh boy, they really miss Connor Hellebuyck. Back to the positive Sabres vibes, Alex Tuch is genuinely one of my favourite players. Dude works his ass off and is fully committed to helping a near-hopeless situation. Also, we got a wonderful performance from UPL, one of the best names in hockey. Just wish it had been a bit closer.
