“We somehow got the most fitting and ironic ending to this incredible matchup. In a series where the margins for error were razor thin and the play on the ice has been mostly close, it is ironic that this series ends with a game completely dominated by one team on the ice. Fittingly, the score was still close. The Habs got outshot so badly in this game. They didn’t have a shot on goal in the 2nd for gods sake. How on earth did they even have a chance? 1 man: Jakub Dobes. The rookie netminder just played the best game of his life in the most important game of his career (for now). When Montreal couldn’t get any traction, let alone momentum in the offensive zone, they needed Dobes to neutralize Tampa’s offense and he did it nearly every single time. The Bolts did not make this easy at all for Montreal. They remained scrappy to the very last second, but nobody knows more about returning to Tampa for game 7 like Martin St. Louis. Changed from 9.0 to 8.5 because I was beating between 8 and 9”
