“Better late than never. Prior to the final minutes, one word immediately came to mind: bland. Arsenal, idk if this is intentional or if they’re really this stupid, but Arsenal played a very conservative game, played out of the back and were lucky to not get exposed more often. Sporting Libson did not stay back, they attacked Arsenal’s back line. The only problem is that Arsenal’s defence is very good, everyone knows this. Because of all these factors, this game was 89 minutes of Arsenal not being able to breakdown and Sporting getting their fair share of counters, but unable to completely catch the Gunners on their heels. There were few scary chances and it took until basically the final minute before Arsenal finally broke the deadlock. With all that being said, I wouldn’t call this a bad game. Wasn’t good, let alone great, but it wasn’t bad. It was just fine. The kind of game you can watch, get a bit of enjoyment out of and move on with your life without any substantial impact. ”
