“The clash of the titans. The National League’s top 2 MVP candidates went head-to-head today and it was epic. Ohtani gave us a lead off home run right away only for PCA to hit his own home run in the bottom of the first. Those homers set the tone, they’re the stars of the show. At first it was PCA and the Cubs on stage and rocking. Swanson hit an RBI double in the 2nd and set up PCA for an RBI double of his own. Then PCA upped the ante a couple innings later with another home run. He planted his flag and said “there’s a new sheriff in town” in reference to the MVP race. Not so fast, just when it looked like Chicago was gonna cruise to victory, Ohtani and the Dodgers woke up and reminded us why they’re feared. Muncy hit a 3-run home run and Ohtani put the fear of god into Cubs fans with a homer of his own. All of a sudden, it appeared the Cubs were gonna blow it. Fortunately, that Zeferjahn guy they got is pretty good and he escaped the crisis before Webb closed it out. A fantastic game.”
