“OMG, SO CLOSE. Very chippy game between Nebraska and Vanderbilt. Made it feel like both teams are putting everything in the line, especially with the atmosphere. Nebraska jumped on Vanderbilt before they knew what was happening. 13-4 just 5 minutes in. Then they went scoreless for 4 minutes. Most of the Commodores were struggling in the first half which meant someone had to step up to give Vandy a chance. Tyler Tanner stepped up. While Nebraska had more of a team effort on the offensive end, Tanner led the way for Vanderbilt and the other Commodores followed in his footsteps to make this game closer at halftime. That wasn’t even their final form. Vanderbilt was scorching in the 2nd half. Tanner was still amazing, but his teammates began to pick up the slack. Vandy shot the lights out and had Nebraska at their tournament death bed by beating Nebraska’s zone. It took a Herculean performance by Frager off the bench to beat him. If Tanner hits that half-court heave, this is a 10, holy cow.”
