Ben Gamel hit a solo homer in the 3rd inning, which is all the Astros got off Seth Lugo. Lugo pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 earned run. There was no more scoring until a Jeremy Peña sac fly in the 8th to extend the lead to 2-0. Bobby Witt Jr led off the 9th by getting on base due to a fielding error by Peña. Paul DeJong hit the game tying 2-run homer. Jake Meyers singled in the bottom half. Then with two outs against Royals’ pitcher James McArthur, Jose Altuve hit a walk off double off the left field wall. Overall this was an exciting game. There was a possible no hitter, then a game tying bomb in the 9th, and finally a walk off hit.
