“The Colorado Rockies are not a baseball team. They are protagonists. This game seemed completely out of reach through seven innings. Down 6-3 after a brutal 3rd inning, four errors throughout the game making their defense look laughable, it felt like it just wasn't Colorado's night. Then, they teed off on Jose Fermin, absolutely dog-walking him for five runs in the top of the 8th. A two run lead with five outs to go, they bring in Senzatela to close this one out. But because these are the Rockies, things do not go to plan. Jorge Soler hits the wackiest two-run RBI triple, bouncing off the netting in the right corner of the Angels' outfield which for whatever reason is in play. These teams went into the ninth tied at 8. But my god, Karros and McCarthy put together back to back hits allowing Rumfield to sacrifice one run home. They could really do this. Oswald Peraza's single had doubt creeping, but to end the game on a long, long decision on a double play felt perfect. This rocked.”
