“Gausman was off last night but still found a way to get that 2000th strikeout. The Rays got to him early and often before he found the zone with the splitter. Simpson was an absolute nuisance to Toronto on the base paths so he’s my player of the game. It’s a true joy to watch him get to first base in the most unlikely of plays. I thought Rasmussen pitched pretty well and the bullpen did a good job too. Looking forward to the rest of the series!”
