“All-around an amazing game for any Canadian, fan of Canada or hater of Qatar for a few simple reasons. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, CANADA HAS WON A GAME AT THE WORLD CUP! To make this even better, Canada has set them selves up with a great chance to go to the knockouts for the first time ever. Even better, this is the largest World Cup win for any CONCACAF ever. Just like he did in our first game, Cyle Larin opened up the scoring for us by pouncing on a rebound from Qatar’s keeper. That goal must’ve eased the pressure because Jonathan David ended his slump EMPHATICALLY with a volley and a 2nd goal right before halftime. But of course, I’m not allowed to be happy so Qatar took a page from their corrupt government and tried to eliminate their competition by intentionally injuring Ismaël Koné. That moment drags down this rating a bit. But Saliba gave us a nice moment when he scored a free kick and held up Koné’s jersey. Jonathan David put the cherry on top by completing his hat trick. ”
