“What a pleasant surprise, a genuinely amazing game… until the end. Two of the worst organizations in sports during the last decade going head-to-head, truly an experience only for sickos, which is what I would say if Jose Soriano didn’t exist. Ironically, Soriano didn’t have a great outing. He was not bad, just not amazing. Still, it looked like it would be enough to secure the win for an Angels lineup that feasted on a washed Kyle Freeland. Despite that adversity and the Rockies being the Rockies, they refused to go away. The Rockies engineered a rally to not only complete the comeback, but give Colorado a 2-run lead. The Angels rose to the occasion as Soler tied it up only for the Rockies to rally one last time to take the lead in the top of the 9th. Unfortunately, the bottom of the 9th happened. It looked like we were setting up for a dramatic ending only for a bad call to end the game after a review to turn a dramatic ending into the most anti-climactic kind. Could’ve been a 9. ”
