“Rating Random Games Anyone Gives Me Part 22: This was the Battle of Inconsistency. Texas Tech was very up and down since the Toppin injury, had some big wins and terrible losses, and Iowa State was just the most boom or bust team in basketball history. But just looking at how Texas Tech won this game, imagine how far they could've gone in the tournament if they had JT Toppin. Such a talented team, and I really do think they would've beaten Alabama despite the fact that they lost by 30 without him. Having JT Toppin made them such a well-rounded team and they really were consistent when they had Toppin in the lineup.”
