For the first time ever, the Mariners are up 2-0 in the ALCS. Rather than their pitching staff dominating the Jays hitters, this time it was the Mariners lineup having their way with the Jays pitching. Julio Rodriguez got the party started with a 3-run bomb, but the Jays responded immediately with a rally of their own. After some quiet innings, the Mariners did what the Yankees couldn’t, they got rid of Yesavage early. Jorge fucking Polanco does it again as he becomes the only Mariner ever to have 3 multi-RBI postseason games in a single season meanwhile Josh Naylor becomes the first Canadian to hit a postseason home run against the Jays. All-around a great win for the Mariners and a disappointing performance by the Blue Jays.
