“A shocking candidate for best match of the tournament but by god it deserves it. That first half was absolutely incredible and the 2nd half was worse, but still good. Haiti was basically playing for pride and, like they have all tournament long, made their nation proud. It started out as well as it could’ve for them as they forced a mistake from Bounou in the 10th minute and took the lead. For a team that relies on defensive cohesion and a fast counter attack, that is the best case scenario. That attention to detail and relentlessness was needed when Morocco turned on the style and began to attack. We then proceeded to have the craziest 10 minute span of the tournament. Hakimi scrapped out a goal, then Isidore hit a screamer for Haiti’s first direct goal, only to be matched by a perfect cross by Hakimi and a delicate Saibari finish. Sadly, the 2nd half was mainly Haiti hanging on by a thread while desperately holding off Morocco, only to fall near the end. Haiti are winners in my heart”
