*The* defining win of the 2025 season.
Going into this game was nerve-racking. Everyone in New England knew this would be a true test for this era of the Patriots, and all we hoped for was that it wasn't humiliating. In the first half, there certainly were some embarrassing missteps, the fumble bug popping up a couple times, but it was a defensive half for both sides and we managed to squeak out a lead.
The second half is where the magic happened; Diggs showing off his ability in front of his former team, Drake Maye proving himself outside of the pocket on some totally daring emergency throws, and holding the Bills to a tie until the final two minutes or so. It just took one more kick and holding Buffalo back for a few more seconds before victory was ours. The Patriots were back.
Other fanbases may deny it, but they must have felt that creeping dread in their stomachs; the beast they thought slain was back toppling juggernauts, and they wouldn't be put down again easily.
