“As difficult as it has been to get into football (soccer) as an American who's only experience with the sport was playing it as a youth, the one thing that pulls me into it is the raucous crowd, chanting in religious fervor as their warriors compete for glory. You feel every moment not just from the excellent kicks and desperate saves, but the roar of the people. Liverpool had to fight from the bottom of a cliff to succeed here, and that they were able to claw their way up twice before being kicked back down was as impressive as it was devastating, but the attack of Chelsea proved definitive in the end. A glorious ability to hold their ground.”
