“Even though this game was one-sided, don’t let the score fool you. This game was fast and intense. Blink and you’d miss another crazy play might as well be the motto of this matchup. Colombia was on the attacking end of 95% of those crazy plays as they controlled this game which led to a bunch of great shots on goal and they didn’t go in thanks DR Congo’s goalkeeper Mpasi. The crowd being VERY into this game definitely helped each chance feel like life and death. Even the long shots were credible threats that Mpasi had to parry away. Still, even though I was loving what I was watching, I can’t deny that DR Congo looked helpless. It got to a point that it felt like they were playing for a draw when they took out Bakambu. They were kinda close to pulling it off, only for Munoz to ruin the dream. After Luiz Diaz had 2 goals taken away from him, DR Congo finally gained some urgency in their attack. They got close a couple times, but couldn’t break through. Wish there had been more of that.”
