“This is the first game I watched on Telemundo and I'm glad I did. Absolute cinema. This is what I love to see. Back and forth, chippy game, trash talk, pushing and shoving, cards galore. Whether it's low or high scoring, I love to see all of that in a game. And we just got so lucky there was scoring along with it. Jude scoring 2 in what felt like the span of 10 seconds, then 5 minutes later Quiñones made it 2-1. Kane scored a PK-looked like it was over, but then Mexico got a PK of their own and Raúl scored it to make it 3-2. Subbing Kane off made no sense to me. I get it's to be in a defensive focus, but I'd want a top-5 player in the world right now on the field no matter what. 11 minutes of added time is absolutely amazing. Even as a neutral fan, it's 11 minutes of pure exhilarating stress. I kept thinking England was dumb for just sitting back and clearing the ball instead of trying to push an attack for the dagger, but it worked for a win. Wanted extra time but still a great game.”
