Another heartstopper. Not an overtime, but it might as well be OT with how close it was. Canada completes the comeback after looking like their tournament was finished. Finland outplayed Canada for most of this game. There is no denying it. Call it a gap in leadership, a gap in quality, or both, but the absence of Crosby was felt in the first 2 periods. I hope everyone who whined and complained when Bennett wasn’t selected watched him take a stupid penalty that immediately costed us when Rantanen scored on the powerplay. It wasn’t until the 3rd when Canada gained some ground. Reinhart scored his first goal by accident. Shea Theodore blasted home the tying goal. Then, after what felt like 20 minutes of close calls, the BIG MAC line comes through and Nathan called game. Sarros was incredible, if not for him, Canada wins this game by a few goals. It wasn’t pretty, but Canada pulled it off. Thank you McDavid for being the best player on planet Earth. Turns out those Barkov tips didn’t work
