“I wasn't expecting much life against Skubal, and taking a tough loss from the Cy Young frontrunner isn't something I would be too saddened by. HOWEVER, Bello's lack of efficiency and the hair-pulling lack of cashing in on RISP (especially the lack of ABS challenge from Contreras!!) will be the death of this team and fanbase. Some positives: Jovani Moran has been excellent in long-relief, it's so good to have defined roles in the bullpen like this. Also, Connor Wong seems to be the best with ABS lately, and his defensive command has been on point; really glad to see him bounce back after his broken hand last year.”
