The almost-comeback. I had 1 question going into this game. Which mediocre goaltender would win this game? Akira Schmid made mediocre sound like a compliment as he gave up 3 goals in 54 seconds. I’m honestly surprised Schmid stayed in the game after that sequence. That 3rd goal he gave up while sitting by the post was unacceptable for any goaltender. Kastelic added to the domination by plastering Shea Theodore on the boards. Lauzon was so pissed about that he challenged him to a fight, only for it to be a dud when Kastelic slipped and the refs ended it there. After an extremely lopsided 1st period, the 2nd was more even, but Pastrnak added to the Bruins’ and Vegas still couldn’t solve Korpisalo. Going into the 3rd, this game looked basically over for Vegas. Instead, the Golden Knights stormed back. Eichel scored 30 seconds in, Hertl added another goal just a couple minutes later. Dorofeyev would score a 3rd with less than 3 minutes to go and McAvoy’s gutsy blocked shots helped them win
