“Just a collapse in the 7th and 9th innings. After a bad previous start by Tanner Houck, he gave you 6 innings of 1-run ball and exited the game with a 3-1 lead. Then Lucas Sims promptly blew it by allowing 4 earned runs in the 7th getting only 1 out. What an absolute flop of a deadline acquisition. The Red Sox always add one or two random pitchers at the deadline and they always suck. 2024 it was Sims and Luis Garcia. 2025 it was Dustin May (who we traded James Tibbs, a member of the Devers trade, for, oh and guess what, now that he's on the Dodgers he's a top 100 prospect. awesome). Anyways, completely blown by Lucas Sims, and the Sox would've had a chance to come back in the 9th if not for even more of the bullpen being terrible.”
