On a night full of low scoring games, of course the team with the lowest goals per game this season scores the most. Just like we all expected. Certainly didn’t look that way at first. It was actually the Canucks who struck first, Hronek scoring on the very first shot. When I saw that, I thought I was in for a long night. Morgan Frost and Connor Zary shut me up less than 10 minutes later and Wolf sparkled after giving up a goal on the first shot. Only an insane Quinn Hughes solo effort could beat him. He’s so insanely good guys. But aside from Hughes, I actually felt like the Flames skaters got the upper hand on Vancouver. The top 4 d-men deserve a ton of credit for making it hard on the Canucks. Bahl, Ras, Weegar and Yan Kuznetsov all did a great job. Ras even pitched in 3 assists (2 of them being primary assists). First 3 game winning streak of the season. For vibes alone, I’m glad.
