“I'm normally in the camp of defending Mendy. It's not his fault that his guys can't string together a run to save their life, after all. These are (allegedly) good baseball players being paid millions of dollars. He doesn't swing the bat! If we assume that everything else plays out identically (and why wouldn't it?), then his decision to not challenge the timing on that third out cost us this game. Full stop. Utter incompetence on display yesterday.”

I'm normally in the camp of defending Mendy. It's not his fault that his guys can't string together a run to save their life, after all.
