@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Cardinals vs Spartans

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Cardinals vs Spartans game 5.9 out of 10 in CBB on March 21, 2026. Final score: Cardinals 69 – Spartans 77. R2. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The Spartans overcome the Cardinals in a weird one. Michigan State did exactly what they had to do. They hit their 3s consistently and kept Louisville playing from behind pretty much the entire game. The reason this game is weird is that Michigan State didn’t have a double digit lead until the final minutes. Yet, I never felt like Louisville had a chance. Call me a pessimist, but I always felt like the Spartans were clearly the better team and more often than not an unfortunate bounce or a mistake would allow the Cardinals to keep it close. The man who changed that was Coen Carr. He looked like a man possessed with his vicious dunks, crazy blocks and some vital 3s on good efficiency; which is abnormal for a guy who shot below 30%. Also, Fears did a terrific job deferring and facilitating the offense, 16 assists are proof of that. Again, this was just a strange game. I wouldn’t say Louisville was dominated, they just got outplayed by a better team. Don’t know how else to say it.
