“Cabo Verde has done the unthinkable, an undefeated run in the group stage. Vizinho’s mom is very happy, therefore we should all be happy. Just watching Cabo Verde celebrate making it to the knockouts gets this game out made this game worth a watch. Even though this game ultimately ended 0-0, that wasn’t from lack of trying. Both Saudi and Cabo Verde knew they could guarantee a knockout spot with a win so both squads went for it. While both sides were careful, both were eager to pounce on the other’s mistakes so we got a bunch of counter attacks, especially from Cabo Verde. We got some REALLY close calls that required clutch saves. Vizinho had his fair share, but it was Mohammed Al Owais that made the craziest saves. That 1 in the 2nd half where Cabo Verde was all alone and he just threw his body to stop it was insane. If not for him, Cabo Verde win for sure. The island nation even has a last second chance that went just wide. Had that gone in as a last minute winner, this game is green”
